The Initial Look of the Stellar Ensemble
This first look reveals Matt Damon in the role of the king of Ithaca. Audiences are introduced to Tom Holland as Telemachus and Anne Hathaway as Penelope. During an emotional scene, the character pleads with her husband to vow he will return, to which he look up and question what happens if he cannot. Adapted from a foundational pillar of Western literature, The Odyssey follows the epic journey undertaken by the famed ruler. After his triumph in the Trojan War, as told within the companion epic, the king faces an extended and hazardous return to his homeland.

On his travels, Odysseus confronts countless challenges and mythical beings. These include the enchantress Circe, known for turning humans into pigs, as well as the treacherous Sirens. Despite these trials, Odysseus vows to do whatever it takes to get back to Penelope and Telemachus in Ithaca.
